this morning :'( they will call me when they are waking up this is going to be a long long day. good thing my son is out of school he had to come to work with me today cuz i couldn't manage both cats by myself.

Whiskers is doing ok i didnt know it was so hard to give a cat a pill lol last night i crushed it up and put it in some wet food i locked him in my room for some reason he has never liked wet food and i forgot till last night i was tring to get him to lick it off my finger he did so i left my room came back a few mins later and the food was gone but fonzi was also in my room sneaky little guy so i dont know who got the pencillian (sp) yesterday this morning i just opened his mouth and put it in it was easier then i thougth it would be. I'm going to have lots of babies in recovery this week.

and next week or so it's my yorkie jasmines turn to be spayed she is in heat right now so i couldn't do it today luckely she is always in the house and my male is already fixed.

thanks guys the vet just called and said that Fonzi has a heart condition  have you ever heard of a valtine heart??? she said it's very rare now a days and i should get ultra sound done to find the cause and prevent him from having a heart attack. she said i dont have to rush to do it but i should do it sooner then later. geez thats another 400.00 i have to fork out geez sometimes i feel like i have the worse luck with my poor fur kids. I may have to give him meds everyday

So have any of you ever heard of this condition?

BTW they both did great and i can go get them in 2 hours :D

I'm glad the neutering went well and I'm sorry to hear of Fonzi's condition. I've never heard of that before so I don't have any advice...maybe another member will be familiar with it.

Hi. I'm so sorry about your kitty. :( I think you may have misunderstood what the vet said. Most likely what he or she meant was that your kitty has Feline Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. Which means that the heart can become enlarged and become the shape of a "valentine heart." I wish your kitty all the best. I realize money is an issue, but please try and work out some kind of payment plan with your vet to help your kitty.

I'm so sorry to hear about Fonzi  I don't know anything about his condition, but I hope he can continue with a normal life for many years to come.
But it's good that the neutering went well. I'm sure they are looking forward to get home :)

thanks for the well wishes guys and chessmind you are correct she said that long word also lol i will take him to the specialist sometime next month i didnt relize that it was going to cost me 340.00 yesterday  so now i have to wait a little bit to save some more

when i got them home i was going to put them in my room and close them in for the night (keep them away from the pest yorkies) but they wouldnt have it they went directly for their food and everything stayed down so they are doing great. We didnt get stiches the vet used glue which was kinda strange to me but it works i guess the "spot" looks great little swelling but thats about it. i bought a new camera and took some photos of them so i will post them as soon as i can figure out how to get them on my computer and into photobucket lol

edited to say i forgot i have health insurance for fonzi so i just called and they will pay 80% of the cost for the specialist and meds (if needed)   i'm so glad i did that for 2 of my cats and both dogs.
