My mother in law just called SCREAMING that she's having puppies!!

Go figure. Remember i told yall she got a Red heeler Xlab mix and it was pregnant with a lab (so they think...)

Well the pups are here!!! So far ther is two.... She keeps calling me letting me know the next one's coming, and asking what should she do!

I keep telling her the same thing "leave them alone unless theirs a problem, then call me!" LOL

I guess I'll be posting puppy pics this weekend! I guess I better go buy all the stuff now. Uh.... it never ends. She gets things, and once the "event" has happened, its up to me to take care of the rest.....

    I know!

I just hate it that I'm the one that always ends up taking care of them. ALWAYS!!!

She'll try and them that nasty dollar brand dog food, won't worm them or give them their shots. She expects me too!!!

Oh I will. She knew when she adopted her that she was pregnant. So we have been preparing her for it. She came from a not so good home that wasnt taking care of her and it took forever for her to catch her. Now she's a lovely house dog. She's a beautiful Red roan color. She's predominatly showing the Heeler traits, but you can definately tell she's got lab or something in her. The owners that had her said they "think" a lab bred her, but didn't know.

Sara is better off with us anyhow. And if she can't take care of her, I usually do anyhow, she'll live with us.

I always make sure my families animals are ok and taken care of. Thats just the way I am.

the count is 3. She thought maybe 5, but once she was done having them, there were only three. She said she was watching from a distance as not to make her nervous, and she figured that when she was pushing hard she was having them each time... I had to explain to her that the pups have to work their way down the birth canal.... She just laughed.

All are fat rolly polly's. Good health and are huge!! they are all lab. Belive it or not, there's a yellow one, black one, and chocolate one!!! None look like any resemblance to the heeler. So I'm assuming they took over all the lab genes. Thats ok though. They will be spayed and neutered along with mom when they are weaned and we'll be finding new homes for them. Two of them are spoken for already. So the black one is the only one available.

The yellow one is going to an older couple. They have an elderly dog and want a puppy to be a companion to it, and to have him around when their other dog passes to keep them company. The chocolate is going to a nice little girl. It will be her first puppy. Her parents are good school teachers. They had a dog and it died a couple of years back from cancer.

Now blackie needs a home. I want him, but I dont need him! LOL...
