:D You will agree, I think, I had a very good reason to be silent lately on this board... I was a little busy with transporting rescues to their new forever homes, and I am proud to say that I am now fostering for ECHO, White German Shepherd Rescue.

Take a look at these three darlings I'm fostering right now... Sorry, guys, they already have pre-approved homes!!!!

    Oh wow!!! How pretty!!!!!

I knew a lady one time (real wierdo but took darn good care of her dogs) and she had a white german. Well, she ended up loosing her house (divorce case) and couldn't take the dog with her. So Granvel was going to bring it home!!! I was like NO!!! So I found it a great home. That was a really sweet, smart and BIG dog!

Katie (the one checking out the birdbath) and Scarlett are littermates. They're about 4-6 months old. Freija (the one crossing her front paws) is not even remotedly related to them (I pulled her from a different shelter). The two little ones have very strange eyes... Katie has one blue and one brown eye, and Scarlett has amber eyes. You can barely see it in the photo with them together under the picknick table. And no, they are not husky mixes... they just have these strange eyes (extremely rare in GSDs, but not impossible.)

I just love them all to pieces, and I was tempted to keep them, but I just keep telling myself that if I keep them, then I couldn't help any others.

As we're speaking, the two little stinkers are at the vet getting spayed. Freija is already spayed, but she can't go just yet, cuz she's heartworm positive. She'll start her treatment in October, after she puts on some more weight.

 Katie and Scarlett got spayed yesterday. They're doing just fine, but once again you can tell the difference in their personalities. Katie is up and running after less than 24 hours, Scarlett still acts like the wounded little bunny, and she just blackmails everybody into petting and kissing her!!! Unless it's time for treats... then she out of a sudden becomes very fast again!!!

To me it's just so fascinating how different they can be, even being littermates and all....

On a totaly different note, I have a question about incessive diarrhea, but I guess I'll start another post on that one. :|

..... had to edit... typos... guess I'm having one of those blond days... Hey, wait a minute!!! I AM blond!!! :0010:

They are so pretty. A white GSD was my dream dog a few years ago but I was never able to find any in my area and this was before I knew about petfinder so it was just the local shelters I could find and no breeders had any. Anyway glad you were there to help them and best of luck in their new homes!
