Adding new gravel to an established tank

Any tips or techniques I should be aware of before doing so? Should I vacuum the old gravel first so as to not kick up a bunch of poo? ( I did a partial water change just yesterday btw).

Or should I just rinse the new stuff and start dumping? hehe :)

Are you removing the old stuff too? Or just adding more? If you're just adding more, it wouldn't be a bad idea to vacuum the old stuff first, but it's not totally necessary. Then you can just rinse the new stuff and dump it in.
