    Red tailed catfish are catfish that really huge (in the pics I posted previously)

    Red tailed sharks are actually cyprinids (carp, barbs, danios, minnows, etc) that get about 5".

    Yup, there is a difference between the two. The shark is over run in my area and the catfish are not alowed to be sold, or atleast they dont want to. Though i still think the catfish looks cool. lol.

    Sorry, I got confused because of another post that talked about sharks and that redtailed sharks are a kind of catfish.

    No offense flyguy, but a Redtail Cat at 8" will eat you out of house and home. There is a reason they are all mouth and stomach with a tail on the end.
