It's been 11 days since the incident and she is very sick of the "fort." She wants out her daddy says. A few days ago she developed a swelling near the suture site that looked like a hematoma and it was determined to be a seratoma, or a benign fluid filled cyst which was promptly drained. The vet originally thought that it might have been a hernia, perhaps caused by the internal sutures coming undone. I'm not sure how much more stress my friend can take so I would imagine she won't be coming out of her fort anytime soon. She's doing very well so I'm sure she'll be let out she's close to being 100% healed. Hopefully, she'll never eat another foreign object again.

Glad to hear she is feeling so good....sorry your friends so stressed out though....pets and kids have a way of doing that to you.
