I have a seashell question

    I have a betta fish and I read that you can't put seashells in their aquarium because it raises the PH level of the water. Is this true? Do you think it would be okay to put just 1 in? I have a cool seashell with a hole in it for him to swim through and hide in that I would like to give him.
