    A tip from the groomer. One good way to do temporary color is to use sidewalk chalk. Lightly dampen the coat and rub the chalk in. Apply a very light spritz of hairspray to set it. Washes right out at the next bath.

    very nice. maybe i will try it on snickers for easter....although she is brown and white, i think she would look a bit better than ranger in color...

    The sidewalk chalks work better on short coats, we tried them on Darby and they just didn't take. The groomer I work for does it on her JRT...but this last time she used a combo of Kool-aid, vinegar and food coloring and it worked great. We tried Kool-aid on darby this last time, but the orange and grape washed right out. We used permanent markers instead and then washed lightly to soften the colors. The markers wash out pretty easily if you use shampoo. I will try her vinegar, kool-aid and food coloring next time.
