problems with brown algae in 110 gal tank

I have a 110 gal tank with assorted cichlids. I recently have developed a problem with brown algae. It started a week or so after I had cleaned it. I vacumed and cleaned the gravel, did my usual water change, and cleaned the filter sponges. I have a trickle filter system, I even cleaned the filter box below. I don't know what is causing this, does anyone have any ideas what might be the possible cause, and what I can do abouit it? Thanks!

Brown algae (which isn't really algae) is generally caused by not enough light or too many minerals/organics in the water.

I'm on well water and I have a big problem with it.
