Hey everyone.. well I am about to start designing my homemade birdcage for my 4 budgies...
I was planning on making the frame from wood that I will buy from home depotl.. and use the safe metal grate type of mesh for the sides.. and have a floureseent light on the top with a sky type of lens on the top of the cage to dim the light a bit...
I know that I am not suppost to use any sort of treated wood.. but do you guys have any suggestions on what type of wood to use? I imagine that they will be chewing the little bit which will be exposed to them.. so I dont want them getting any harmful slivers or bad type of wood.. any suggestions woudl be appriciated.. as well as if anyone has made any themselves id love to see some pics and or some specs thanks a lot!
Its gonna be probably 2 feet wide, 5 feet long and 4 feet tall or so.. what do you gyus think??
