Hi - Fagan has for some or other very strange reason has taking to sucking the bars of his cage, could anybody out there explain as to why he has started to do this. He is at the moment going through a "breeding" stage, where he's very possesive about his toys and making as if he charming a lady friend. Has this got something to do with his odd behaviour??

I have never known a bird to suck the cage bars. Some sort of chew on them and they do that because of boredom.

I wouldn't worry too much aslong as he is eating and drinking well and showing no signs of illness, Like sitting fluffed up, Breathing different to normal, can't keep his eyes open...
