What type of bird is this?

    I was at the pet store and saw this awsome bird in the finch section, it was all black a\except for its stomache and the label said Black & white m.... the rest was worn out, any ideas?

    The "m" was probably either Munia or Mannikin.

    I took another trip to the store and found out its a black & white mannikin, i've been doin alot of research on him and i think i'll buy him :D

    Do you have other finches? If so, make sure he is about the same size as they are and that he is a variety that typically gets along with others. If you don't have other finches, you want to get a pair of them because finches don't like to be alone.
