my fish are acting really weird. my one platy and blue gourami is resting on the bottom of the tank, is something wrong?

when was the last time you did a 25% water change?
check you P.H., Amonia, Nitrates and nitrites.
if its been awhile, since your water change they are prolly to high!

My fish rest on the bottom sometimes. Are they doing anything else weird that might indicate that something is wrong? Do they have any torn fins or anything that might inhibit their swimming?

i know my blue gourami is on the bottom hiding behind a little cave thing to get away from my male gourami, im not sure about my platties, they have slight nipped fins, but not a harmful number. for that im using melafix, though its not doing much.

If they have nipped fins, then my only guess is maybe they're just being stressed by the other fish.

thanks for the help, i took a good look, my platties seem to be doing better and my gourami is still resting a bit, but thats from the male gourami, atleast she has a place to hide!
